Information lias been received by the Royal Astronomical Society of the success, during the recent total eclipse of the sun, of the well known amateur astronomer, Doctor Waterfield, who took an extensive equipment of lenses and colour filters to Ho Ho in the Philippine Islands, for the purpose of photographing the corona.
