CANADIAN FINANCE. (United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright). OTTAWA, May 16. ? The Dominion Treasury has 78,231,160 dollars worth of gold in central 'iold' ’ reserves, while chartered banks hold t forty millions. The Minister of Finance (Mr Robb) informed Parliament to-day that the ratio pf, gold to notes issued against gold deposits on March 33 st was 55.3 per .cent. Dominion notes included “legals” which could he redeemed in gold.
