SUN YAT SEN
STATE -FUNERAL. AFTER THREE YEARS. 'Uoited Press Association. —ByElectrio Telegraph.—Copyright.) (Received this day at 11 a.m.) SHANGHAI, -May 16. Plans for a state funeral of the late Doctor Sun Yat Sen, the Chinese revolution leader, who died three years ago at Tientsin, and whose remains were preserved in order that they might be deposited in a special mausoleum in the purple mountain, Nanking, are almost completed. An announcement from the capital states the burial, which is scheduled to occur on June Ist, will conclude with probably the most, elaborate funeral ceremonies ever beheld in the Far East and lasting a week. A special road has been cut through the heart of Nanking for the purposes of the procession, the government ruthlessly demolishing thousands of native houses without compensation.
