ADDINGTON STOCK SALE.

CHRISTCHURCH, May 15

For the most part, values remained good at to-day’s sale ot live stock at Addington. There was a medium entry of store lambs, the quality being mixed, and values, if anything, easier, hut there was a sound sale.

There was a smaller entry .of store sheep to that of last week, with less wethers. Attractive pens of adult sheep met with a good demand. There was a .slightly larger yarding of fat sheep, mostly wethers. The market was firm at last week’s rates. Extra prime wethers sold to 375, prime wethers 33s to 35 s-'d, medium wethers 29s fid to 32s 9d, light 26s to 295. Extra prime ewes sold to 355, prime ewes 29s to 31s fid, medium 21s to 28s, light 20s to 235, old and un.Biished lfis to 19s.

There was another small yarding of lambs of mixed quality. Prices were firm at rates slightly above the schedule for. heavier sorts. ■ ..Extra prme lambs sold, to 31s Id, prime 30s 3d 1" 335. medium 28s to 30s, light 25s 9d to 27s 9d.

Jn fat cattle there was a slightly larger yarding. The poor. Few steers were offered. There was no quotable change in values from last week.

There was a small entry of fat pigs and an advance on late rates, which increased as the sale progressed.- There was a largo yarding of. choppers, which realised from £2 to £5 11s, light bacon £3 to £3 10s, heavy £3 15s to £4, extra heavy, prime to £4 11s fid. Iho average price was ojjd to 6id P er db. Light, porkers sold 32s to 43s fid, heavy 47s fid to 575, the average being fiijd to 7id .per lb. There was a small entry of store pigs, and a decline in values.
