SIR JOSEPH WARD

INVERCARGILL, May 14.
A very enthusiastic reception was accorded Sir Joseph Ward upon his arrival at Invercargill to-night there being considerably over on» thousand people at the station to greet the Promier. The Mayor Mr J. D. Campbell, and AY. Stevenson (chairman of the Invercargill Alay Fair Committee) officially welcomed Sir Jolseph, who bi-felly addressed tlie crowd, ' expressing 1 1 is pleasure at lining,able to participate in the festivities, and wishing ill a most happy time. The Premier was on*lmsiasticiilly cheered and was played to his Hotel by a Pipe Band.
