INQUEST VERDICT
ALLEGED .MURDER

WELLINGTON, May 15
Eric Mathews, a petty officer on H.AI.S. Diomede, was again before the court to-day on a charge of murdering .lohn Stevens. The police were granted a further remand Ifor a week, the Chief Detective assuring the Court that if a witness they were looking for could be found, the case would then proceed.
