VISIT TO WEST COAST. 'I lie Hon. E. A. Ransom (Minister of Public Works) who is to arrive from Westport at Greymouth on Monday evening next, leaving overland next morning for Christchurch has forwarded the following telegram to Mr J. O’Brien, iMomo'er l if; Westland': “Your telegram of 13th.- inst. received. It.grot exceedingly that the time at Iny disposal, on Monday next will not permit of a visit to Hokitika. , It is my intention,, however, to make a comprehensive; tour of South Westlpnd at a later date. I shall then lie pleased to spend as much time as- possible there. Ji' any of the Hokitika matters which you wish to place before me on hlii« visit are of particular urgency, probably lliey could lie represented to me in Greymouth. King regards.— E. A. Ransom.”
