THOUGHTS FOR THE TIMES
A GREAT COUNTRY. America is a great country. The word admits it is great in wealth, great in resources, great in its opportunities, great in its future. But so. is England a great country. And so is New Zealand . a great country—though smaller; great in its marvellous development in 80 years, a man’s lifetime; its cities, its universities, its educational, its religious, its social features, and its people. New Zealand is not perfect. Tt is not “finished”; it does not pretend to be. Tt is too voung. But it is not going to stop. —Visiting American.
