TACTICS OF CITY CLUBS. [By Telegraph, Per Press Association, j HAMILTON, May 14. The long-standing dispute between the Waikato Hunt Club and the Waikato Racing Club'over the privilege, of racing on labour Ray has been complicated this year, the Auckland Trotting Club having applied to the Trotting Conference for a meoting on that holiday. .Mr Lee Martin, M.P., yesterday telegraphed the Minister of Internal Affais, protesting against this application, and against the propensity of lie City Clubs to “grab” the holiday racing dates to the disadvantage of the Country Clubs. The Minister has replied to-day as follows: “The question of fixing dates does not come within my province. I suggest that representations be submitted to the conference for consideration.”
