ANOTHER EFFORT ASKED,
TO SETTLE THE COAL DISPUTE

The Mayor of Newcastle communicated with the Prime Minister and acting Premier of this State asking for another effort to settle the coal trouble to be made before the Royal Commission commences, its long tedious investigation. He believes the miners’ representatives are in the mood to come to terms which would enable the mines to re-open almost immediately.
