ANONYMOUS DONOR
IDENTITY DISCLOSED. (British Official Wireless.) (Received this dav at 10 a.m.) RUGBY, May 13. The “Evening Standard” this evening discloses the identity of the person who anonymously gave 100,000 guineas to King Edward hospital fund, as a thanks offering for King kv. lore's recovery. His identity has been veiled under the pseudonym of “Audax.” A few evenings ago he broadcasted an appeal to the public to keep the iir;s mat fund, still retaining the pseudonym. The “Evening Standard” states, however, within the last few days so many people have succeeded in discovering his identity, that the mystery is a mystery no longer. “Audax’’ is George Roberts, of Wimbledon, the director of several companies. The journal adds that no more effective advertisement could have been devised for the hospital fund than the obscurity which “Audax” so determi nod 1 v courted.
