AIR ACCIDENTS
SERIES OF FATAL CRASHES. (United Press Association.—By ElectricTelegraph.—Copyright.) (Received this d->>- •' ° a.m.) LOS ANGELES, .May 13. Raymond Kottcnliofoii, amateur pilot, took his brother aloft in a borrowed ’plane. He crashed and both were killed. The wreckage of the ’plane was, strewn over the highway amongst hundreds of, motorists. Chief Instructor Christopher Evans of Granby Aeroplane Club, was killed near Montreal while testing a new Gypsy .Moth. The third Sunday accident occurred when Elmer Hobbs, a pilot, ancl two passengers, were killed when a plane crashed near Waukegan, Illinois. Captain Ronald Smith, a British wartime aviator with five Germans to his credit, was killed while attempting a tail spin too near the ground.
