Department of Commerce lias pointed out that Great Britain is maintaining a decided increase in her foreign investments, while the American underwriting has established no upward trend. The British capital invested abroad in 1928 aggregated 770 million dollars, thus gaining 25 millions over 1927. The American foreign issues totalled 1488 million dollars in 1928, showing a decline of'los millions from 1927.
