WEDDING BELLS
BUTJJER—CUTTANCE. A quiet liut pretty wedding was solemnized at St. Mary’s Church, •Hokitika on Monday afternoon when Rose, fifth daughter of Mr- and Mrs J. A. Cuttance, Oakdpne, Hokitika, and Reuben, youngest son of Airs and the late Air j. Butler, of R'iversdale, Gore, were united in holy bonds ol marriage. The bride, who entered the church on the arm of her father, looked lovely in a gown of ivory crepe de diene and lace, showing the uneven hem. She wore the usual wreath and veil with silver shoes and stockings to match, and carried a pretty bouquet of pink roses and maiden hair lorn. She was attended by her younger sister, Maude, wearing a,pretty frock of rose pink crepe-de-chone and overdress of lace. Air Hugh Cuttance carried out the duties of best man. Four dainty little (lower girls made a pretty picture in little white frocks with baskets of pink and white flowers. After the ceremony a small reception was held at the home of the bride’s parents where the usual toasts were duly honoured. Later in the afternoon Mr and Airs Butler left by car for Groymouth, the. bride wearing a smart tweed costume with hat and shoes to match and a lovely set of fox furs, the gift of the bridegroom.
