After six days of counting at £4.0 per day, the Returning Officers this evening declared the result of the City Council election, the voting having been bv proportional representation. Tliacker Mr Armstrong stood without the endorsement of the Labour Representation Committee, but lie will join up with the Labour group. yi The two Parlanes; although in opposing parties, are brothers.
