NEW GOLD HUSH. VANCOUVER, March 14. That Interesting city of Prince Albert, in the Province of Saskatchewan, despite the dead of winter, lias income the base for a new gold rush, with the Rottenstone Lake, Lac la Rouge and Reindeer Lake mineral liolds as 'its objectives. Sharp con-, trusts in methods of transportation to the new Mecca for seekers of mineral wealth are seen daily. Already one company lias established i winter flying base in Prince Albert and now announcement has been made .hat two other companies will shortly have ac/mplanes in service between that city and the mineral zones. The argost “freight moving” in the history of the city, drawn by tractors and horses, left for the area, carrying supplies and gasolihe stores. Intense interest greeted the recent announcement that the Canadian Pacino Railway would shortly construct a branch line to a point near Lac la Rouge, where' the Trail Consolidated dine and Smelting Company is investigating the Hall Claims. 'J his company is bringing a giant aeroplane from No York, destined to he used in carrying men and materials to and from Prince Albert, and the claims at Rottcnstone Lake. The Western Canada Airways are at present operaling an aerial transport service from Prince Albert to the area, and the Cherry Red Airways arc bringing in another plane. Cantcrpillar tractors are hauling heavily loaded sleighs to Lac la Rouge for the Rrooks Transportation Company while horses are used on the longer haul to Reindeer Lake. In addition to the large scale operations of those companies numberless individuals are outfitting and leaving daily for the mineral zone. Many ol these men of wide experience in the , Noirfrh aro .being “grub-staked” by local and Saskatchewan business men, confident that the returns from Canada’s latest goldfield will be enormous.
