A RACER’S PEDIGREE
TWO COLTS MIXED. (Australian Press Association) (Received this day ni 11 a.m.) ' SYDNEY, May 7. An .inquiry is being >™ule % ilie Australian Jockey Club into the ciedentials of tho racehorse Prince Humphrey, winner of tlio Sydney Dcib\ and now in New Zealand. It is statGragsman, a horse of little turl value. The Deilby winner is not by Duke Humphrey from Shepherd Princess, but he is by Duke Humphrey from Princess Hazel. Tim authority for the statement is R,. Tate, who as manager o! Moodlands Stud, bred two colt# from the matings indicated and declares Princo Humphrey is Princess Hazel’s colt It is not suggested that the error is anything but the result of an unfortunate mix-up. The Hazel Princess colt is a whole bay with black points. This description fits Prince Humphrey and agrees with tho markings given on the registration forms here and in New Zealand. R.. McKenzie, the New Zealand owner who purchased the two coils passed Prime Humphrey on to V. Mac.lndoe. tout the pedigrees were mixed and Maclndoo has in Prince Humphrey a colt from Princess Hazel, under the impression tout it is the progeny of Shepherd Princess.
