TOKIO, May 3

The ceremonies in cmiicction with the conferring of the Order of the Garter on the occasion of the visit of Prince Henry were fortunately held indoors. Rain marred the pageantary of the proceedings between the Palaces. The Emperor of Japan returned the Prince’s visit of courtesy, and he conferred on Prince Henry the Supreme Order of the Chrysanthemum. A state banquet will he held tonight at the Imperial Palace.
