OBITUARY.

REV.-JOHN PERKINS. My Tpleiiruph—Per Press Association.) CHRISTCHURCH, May. 4. The death is announced of Rev. John Perkins, aged 55 years. For 25 years he was Anglican Clergyman. He was stationed at Otag , Southland and Hokitika. The Rev. J- Ir; Markin'* w 1 ns Vicar at Hokitika previously to removing to Christchurch, came here from Otago in August 1924 and had charge of.the parish till early last year, when Rev Nelson Wright took his placo. The Rev.' Perkins had suffered from serious illness for many months and was incapacitated during his stay here over a period of several months. The deceased was a prominent member of the Masonic Lodge. He leaves a family of three sons and one daughter. Deep sympathy will he extended to the bereaved.
