MEXICAN REBELLION

HAS BEEN CRUSHED. (United Press Association—-By Electric Telegraph—Capyr iglit). (Received this day at 11.25. a.m.) AVASHINGTON, May 1. Confidential despatches received today confirmed reports from Mexico that the rebellion which began on 3rd February has been crushed. This is the result of the effort to destroy the Portes Gil Government, and had been expected by American officials, who arriving in the first, week of the rebellion offered moral and material aid to the Federals.
