Scotland Yard and the military authorities arc investigating the disappearance from Buckingham Palace o*f a Scots Guard sentry, whose absence oi patrolling policemen reported. The Palace precincts were unavailingly searched till daylight broke. The missing sentry’s bushy and rifle were found in Green Park, two hundred yards from the Palace. His bayonet is still missing. The “ Daily Mail ” points out that the disappearance from a post on the Palace Guard is unparalleled in the history of the army.
