OTTAWA. April 20

When correspondence between the

two Governments was laid on the ‘ v table of the Canadian House of Commons .on Thursday night, it was revealed that Canada and the United

Slates had agreed to arbitrate upon

the dispute over the sinking of the Canadian schooner, “ I’m Alone,” by an American coastguard. The case is to he submitted to two arbitrators.

One arbitrator is to he selected by each Government, under the terms of the liquor-smuggling treaty between the United States and Britain. They will decide whether Canada is entitled to redress.
