FOOTBALL.
WI-XT COAST RUGBY UNION.
A meeting of the Executive of the West Coast Rugby Union was held last evening at Greymouth. The President, Mr A. A. Adams, presided. . Lt was agreed, on The recommendation of the"Westland Sub-Union, that the following players he reinstated from senior to junior: E. Osmers, M. Mills, A. McKarlane, J. Keller, L. Hughes, A. McDonald, B. Palniei. In regard to the lifting of the disqualification ol one year, of C. 1 fahlert (Kiwis), on the recommendation <.f the Sub-Union, it was resolved, alter a lengthy discussion, that the Executive disapprove of the recommendation, but agree that the disqualification expire on May 4th.
The Secretary was instructed to write lo the New Zealand Union asking for a confirmation of J. Griffiths’ disqualification.
It was agreed to ask the Nelson Union to arrange for a visit it possible on June 3rd. and to offer 30 per cent, of
the gate. The following fixtures were approved: Seniors—Blakctown v. Excelsiors (A ground Park at 3 p.m.. Mr T. McIntosh) ; United, v. Brunner (at Brunner at 3 p.m., Mr J. Melvor): Kiwis v. Stars (at Hokitika at 3 p.m.. Ah Cuthush); Magpies a live.
SCHOOLS FOOTBALL FIXTURES
SATURDAY, APRIL 27th
7-stone game:—State v. Convent. Cass Square, at 1.30 p.m. (Referee to be arranged.) Bantam game:—Half-time senior game: State B. v. Convent. Air W. Haybittle referee.
Note; —"School v. Araliura, third grade, was set down to he placed <it Araliura at 1.30 p.m.
