MOTOR SMASH
FOUR BANK CLERKS INJURED.

AUCKLAND. April 23
At Ota lull ill early to-night, a motor ear containing five young mien collided with another ear. next ran into a telegraph post, and then turned over on its side. D. Black, aged 19. one of the occupants, sustained injuries to his hip and head, and was admitted to the Auckland Hospital. His condition was later stated to be fairly serious.
1,. B. Cameron. aged ‘2l, sustained :i severe cut on tlie check, necessitating several stitches. V. Eookcs, aged 23. sustained injuries to the mouth, and lost several teeth.
H. B. Winfield, aged 23. sustained injuries to his hack. |). 11. Wallace, aged 21. the driver of thi' car. escaped practically unhurt. All in this car are hank clerks in Auckland. The car was badly damaged. J. Crewhurst. driver, and sole occupant of the other car. was badly shaken. His car escaped lightly.
