A fair gathering assembled in Totara Hall to the concert last evening and the Maoris received a very appreciative hearing. Tlieir programme, illustrative of ancient Waratas and Maori games now almost unknown to the Pakehas, graceful poi exercises as well as their splendid combination of voices heard in native hymns and songs is unique in the district and should secure a large audience on Thursday evening in the Princess Theatre.
