CHRISTCHURCH, April 23

The North Canterbury Hospital Hoard received from the trustees ot the Travis estate the sum of £7OO. This amount to he spent on the purchase of radium for the Board’s radium and deep therapy department. This is the first payment out of the bequest. It is not known yet exactly how much will lie available from the estate to give effect to the testator’s desire to forward the cause of medical research,
