The “ Daily Express ” Berlin corres|,mKlc.lt says: “A policy of plunder” is the phrase summing up Germany > reception of the reparation experts proposals. The newspapers throughout the country are voicing a roar of indignation. 'Most of the papers and the reports from Paris suggest that the American delegates are as much shocked as the Germans at the vastness of the Allied
demands. ~ The “.Deutsche Allgemeine Zeitung says ; These demands will be the death blow to the conference. In the whole Allied memorandum there is no evidence that the hardens imposed upon Germany can be borne. WASHINGTON, April 13.
American interests in reparatioi settlements were discussed at an im portant conference between Presiden Hoover and Secretary of State Stim son to-day. WASHINGTON, April 13.
It is understood that the President has tauen a view opposing a reduction of the American claims for Rhine occupation costs, at the present time, but might consent to reduction after the United States lias received the same percentage of such payments as Britain and France. It is believed that memorandum representing the American viewpoint, has been drawn up, and forwarded to the •American reparations experts at Paris.
