The “Times” Madrid correspondent says: A demonstration has been organised by General He Rivera’s supporters. It has passed off uneventfully. It was well organised, and it included a three-hours’ patriotic procession, representing Madrid and the provinces. Many women were participating.
General He Rivera broadcasted three speeches, proclaiming his faith in the dictatorship.
Tt is understood that over one million declarations of lenity have been received.
