A collision took place yesterday morning at the intersection of Alain md Seddon Streets. Kumara, between a motor cycle driven by Mr B. Teen of tlie Christchurch Road, and a motor car, driven by Air G. Anderson, of Kumara, resulting in Teen receivin'? a dislocation of the shoulder. Authority was received on Saturday by Mr T. A. Johnston, District Enginer of the Public Works Department. Greymouth, £o proceed with the provision of a new track to the Fox Glacier and the erection of a suspension footbridge. There is a good track fiom the Fox Glacier Hotel to the hut about two miles up the Fox River on the north bank, but the continuation, leading to the moraine at the foot o>F the glacier, was washed away by floods at Easter. .The new track crosses the river by a suspension bridge near the hut, and runs round Cone Rock to tin* south. When completed it will lead on to the clear ice. It will thus do away with the necessity of clambering over the moraine, and at the same time it reaches a point from which a gorgeous view is obtainable of the uppci part of the glacier.
