RYE GRASS SEED,
GISBORNE, April 12
In reference to Bruce Levy’s .statement that Hawke’s Bay is the only district able to produce true perennial rye grass seed, it is stated that the Poverty Bay seed, which is always regarded as the best obtainable, and lias commanded - higher juices, was not included in the tests at Palmerston. Local growers contend that Levy’s statement, in this respect is misleading and detrimental to the local product.
A BURGLARY’. AUCKLAND, April 12. Last night the premises of Robinson lee Cream Gov. were burglariously entered, and the safe broken by gelignite. Between £ls and £zo was stolen. It was evidently the work of exports.
