LAW SOCIETY’S ANNOUNCEM EXT WELLINGTON, April 11.
Tin* President of the New Zealand Law Society .states the announcement recently made l by a special correspondent of several newspapers, that representations will shortly he made by the Society to the Prime .Minister concerning the Public Trust Ollice, consequent upon investigation undertaken by the CommiMee of the Society, was not made with the authority of the Society. The announcement., he says, is in several respects misleading and inaccurate. No accountant has been engaged by the Society to dissect the Public Trust statement as alleged. No report lias been received from the. committee and until it has been received and considered by the Council of the Society no course of action can he determined.
