Drastic cuts in the army and navy expenditure will result in a saving df £1,(190,000. The estimates will be reduced by £1,000.000. The Bavarians have assisted in this arrangement by dropping their beer tax. The People’s Party assisted by discarding their proposed impositions on property and inheritances. As the result of these cuts, the deficit of £30,000,000 will now be £6.500,000, at which the People’s Party is reported to he satisfied. They had originally demanded that the Budget he balanced.
