Until a few decades ago, coal represented the main power producing material, hut during the past fifteen years, the situation changed, through, the development of oil, the, utilisation of water power, and the scientific combustion of low grade fuels, such ns brown coal. Tlu* World Power Conference estimates that the world’s coal resources, based on the production of 1,27(1,000 tons during 1027, will last for at leas four thousand venrs.
