SHIP FIRED UPON

The Norwegian Legation here is awaiting the official report regarding shots that are alleged to have uoen fired by the Coastguard agents upon » Norwegian fruit vessel, the “Juan” in Chesapeake Bay, on Friday, before they bearded the ship, which they did, only to discover nothing but cargo of bananas. Ifli consequence the Norwegian Consulate; at Baltimore (AJaryland) lias fori warded a note to Washington charging the Coastguard with an unnecessary attack on a peaceful vessel, following OB the statement by the ship’s pilot that tlie Coastguard fired six times, barely missing tlie “Juan.” Tlie cutter made no attempt to use the wireless, with which both of the ships were equipped.
