Upper Kokatahi Road. .Motor worn liolos were repaired with gravel beiwi'fii No. I Duck Creek Bridge and Bladier’s Road over a distance of (Ml chains, 2i) cubic yards of gravel be-, ing used for the ])iirpose. The handrailing of No. 2 Duck Creek Bridge, (is? feet ill length, was puiut<-d white with collar straps and ironwork painted black. Lower Kokatahi to McArthur Road was gradi'il from the southern approach to Kokatahi Bridge for a distance of one mile, rolled with the ten ton roller for a distance of one mile in Koitcrangi. and partly rolled from Kokatahi Bridge to Kanicri. a distance of eight miles. Repairs to depressions and motor worn holes were effected to five miles of the road for the week ending March 10. Forty cubic yards of gravel were used on the road between Kanieri and Kokatahi Bridge, and 21 cubic yards of crushed metal used for repairs between Kokatahi Bridge and .McArthur Hoad, in addition to the road-side dumps which were also replenished with 50, cubic yanks of gravel. From the Kith of the mouth to the. 30th repairs were effected to low places and motor worn holes front Kanieri. to Dawson Road, a distance of 5 miles: the lower portion of the road between Lake Road junction and Kanieri River Bridge, reieiving a coat of gravel ten chains in length, the quantity of gravel used. inclusive of repairs to motor worn holes, being 78 cubic yards. From .McArthur Road to Municipal Road repairs were effected where necessary with 12 cubic yards of crushed metal. The new handrailing on White Creek Bridge. o2 feet in length, was painted white with the collar straps and ironwork being painted black. Lake Kanieri Road. Repairs to the Kith of the month included repairs to motor worn holes and worn places from Kokatahi road to the One Mile peg. and three miles to five miles, 58 cubic yards of gravel being used. Slips totalling 2d cubic yards were removed; watortahles were cleaned over a distance of eight chains; stranded timber was removed from the piling of Kanieri River Bridge, and defective decking totalling 421 .superficial feet, was removed and replaced on fetriphiud Creek, McKay’s, Left Hand Branch and Kanieri River Bridges. Since the 16th of the month repairs have been effected to the road surface between Kanieri and Boucher s Hill, 58 cubic yards of gravel being used. Encroaching scrub and gorsc growth were, cleared from both sides of the road for 500 links in length immediately beyond the One Mile peg.
