DEATH ROLL INCREASING. (Received this day at 9. a.m.) HOBART, April 6. The breaking of Cascade Dam caused a greater disaster than was at first feared. The total now numbers twenty, (fourteen at Briseas mine and six drowned in a motor-ear. Cascade river lias made a new course one hundred yards wide. The dead include a family of five who were having tea when a wall of water struck the bouse and carried it and tbc> occupants away. > The wall of water is estimated to have* been between fifty and one hundred feet high. Every bridge surrounding the township Inis been washed away, aiul many cattle were drowned.
