STRUCK OIL

RICH OIL AT WARWICK JUNCTION. 15 MILES FROM MURCHISON. (By Telegraph—Press Association). REEFTON, March 15. Hon. W. A. Veitch (Minister of Mines) arrived last evening and opens, the Show to-day. Mr G. Black (member for Motueka) who is in Reefton, received the following wire from John Spencer, field geo’ogist: “My drillers engaged boring for gold passed through a black shale capping, releasing a large quantity of li( h oil. The location of the bore is near Warwick junction.” The Minister of Mines, who is in Reefton, has made special arrangements to inspect the bore before returning to Canterbury. Warwick Junction is about fifteen miles from Murchison.
