ASSASSIN RULE. MINISTERS OUTSPOKENNESS. (United<Preds Association—By Electric ( Telegraph—Copyright). (Received this day at 8.30. a.m.) LONDON, March 13. Patrick Hogan (Free State Minister olf Agriculture) in a speech at Dublin, fiercely attacked gunmen. He said everybody was asking what was De Valera's party’s attitude concerning the recent murders. “ I will tell you in one word. They are afraid of murderers.” Three years ago, he said. De A alera enunciated lj)he doctrine that the issue between majority rule and minority right had to be bloodily fought out. How*’could a man who said that condemn murder. Mr Hogan declared the origin of the
recent shootings was due to a section
of the Fianna Fail party. He believed men who could only influence by fear were influenced themselves b> fear. As a fear-ridden party they were afraid of the past and afraid olf the future. “ I want to tell them there are white men in Ireland, who hare never looked over the sights of a revolver, but are not going to be cowed by any assassins.”
