A DAILY MESSAGE
| LIVE YOUR SERMONS! Many a man will bo touo.hod b.v an example who is impervious' to a sermon. And, in any case, the man who preaches the best sermon is tlie fellow who shows the way. A sermon may be full of good points —but the follow who does the thing plays the point that counts when it comes to making recruits. Putting a good idea into action is a better sermon—anytime—anywhere— than preaching about a good idea. One kind man makes many kind men, because one kind deed is worth a hundred sermons about kindness. And one good man tenches many, because men do believe in the sermons they see, though they may remain untouched by those they bear. So, old fellow, if you have a creed, don’t worry about preaching your sermons to a congregation. Just live them, and you will have a congregation, and, what is more, your sermons will be effective. For men follow the deed, and the best sermon is the one that is lived. —M. PRESTON STANLEY.
