Mr R, T. Bush, elocutionist, will meet all pupils at St. Andrew’s Hall on Saturday next, March IGth. To-day the District Schools’ Excursion took place to Arthur’s Pass, some suo or 00!) leaving by the train at 7.30 o’clock this morning. The day was an excellent one for a picnic and the outing should prove a very enjoyable one. The train leaves Arthur’s Pass on return at 5 o’clock and arrives buck in town at 8.10 o’clock. It was reported this morning that an aeroplane was sighted circling , round in the vicinity of Koiterangi botween 9.30 and 10 o’clock. At first sight it was thought to he a bird, hue closer examination revealed an aeroplane though no noise was audible. The “aerial visitor” circled round far./ a while and then disappeared into the \ north.
