WASHINGTON, March 9,

President Hoover, in a statementgiven to the press to-day, reaffirmed his intention to carry out a searching inquiry into the best- methods of the enforcement of prohibition, and in this coniiection, it has become known that a special/ fund of 50,000 dollars will be used by. the Prohibition Bureau for advertising purposes to bring home to people the necessity for prohibition enforcement. Posters for hoardings and newspaper cartoons depicting striking evils of the liqor traffic and benefits to bo derived from strict enforcement will be among instrumentalities used.
