ACCIDENT TO MILKER

INVERCARGILL, March 10. William Donald Gordon, of Otataro Farm, aged 4l years, was the victim ff a painful injury while engaged in milking on Saturday morning. The cow apparently turned suddenly, and its head struck Gordon’s face underneath the right eye, which was torn from , us .socket.

The injured man was conveyed to the Southland Hospital, where an operation was performed, but it was found impossible to save the eye.
