COLLEGE CADETS
I ENGLISH OFFICER’S OPINION. NELSON, March 4. Major W. H. Eady, liaison officer from the British .War Officer, paid a unique tribute,to. the Nelson College cadets after a special inspection. He said: “I have heard a considerable amount of the position and prestige of this company, but what I saw exceeded all my expectations. The standard of traing was quite unique in my experience. The opening parade would have compared favourably with either of the two military colleges in England or the best guards battalion. What struck me most, however, was the wonderful; spirit^.throughout all ranks. There was a kick which was only found in units where the very highest traditions are maintained. Further, it was remarkable to see the cadet non-com-missioned officers handling squads in the manner of the most experienced drill sergeants at Home. In fact, this was the most striking aspect of the whole parade. It is quite obvious that that training of cadet non-commission-ed officers'in this way must do a very great deal to develop character, sense of responsibility , and power of leadership, and must be of the ! greatest benefit to the Soy, whatever profession or trade he may enter into later in life. Nelson ..college undoubtedly possesses a tradition of infinite value' which the present generation appears to be living up to in the highest degree.” >' v • mmmmmmmmmmmmm t y
CHECK THAT SUMMER COLD. “I must let you know the benefit I received from Pulmonas,” said a lady. “The result was really wonderful; after taking two or three, my cold was better.” Pulmonas are really invaluable for relieving throat and chest troubles. Try them for ’flu, coughs, bronchitis, etc. They free the breathing and cut the phlegm. Pulmonas, 1/6 and 2/6.
