It is officially stated that Queen Mary will hold Courts. This follows an official statement that the Prince of Wales will act as deputy for the King. The Queen tvill only receive the courtesies of debutantes. The Prince of Wales and other members of the Royal family will occupy exactly the same positions in the Royal circle as they would if the King were preeent. There will be only one throne to which the Prince of Wales will escort his mother, who wilt take her place alone on the dins. The previous statement that the Prince of Males would receive the courtesy was responsible for a big increase in the applications. particularly from the Dominions.
