A DAILY MESSAGE

HAPPINESS is HERE! I am sorry to say it, but most of the fellows I know are not happy; they are always hoping though. To them, happiness is never here but there —.just over the peak of the next lull. They struggle up the steep incline to the next peak and, just as they are about to settle in. someone whispers, “Not here, still further—just, over the brow of the next hill lies Happy Valley.’’ On they go, up and over, by narrow trails and broad, until the next peak is gained, and then, though here is surely much that could make them happy, they are lured on and on—they must have more money—more power—attain this position or that—before they can be happy—only to 'fall just, when Happy Valley can be seen through the mists in the distance. Happiness is not just over the peak, brother. It is here, or nowhere. Many a. fellow who could have found happiness, missed it just because he wandered too far. And, many another missed it altogether because he never thought ol being happy to-day, but always thought of happiness as belonging to that to-morrow which so often never comes. Happiness is here—not there; it belongs to to-day—not to-morrow. See that you find it to-day, —M. PKESTON STANLEY. —aa immminmmirnriurmxxneifoxsfa
