TROUBLE AT RABAUL
POLICE. PARTY ATTACKED. (Australian Press Association). (United Service). SYDNEY, Maveil 6. Details have been received from Ilabaul of an attack made a month ago upon a Government party in the Onon ge district. It appears that two patrol officers and a party of native police went tb the village of Goilals, in an attempt to arrest a native murderer. The villagers showed open hostility, and in the resulting conflict one native policeman was wounded and nine Goilals men shot. The murderer was eventually arrested, and is now awaiting trial.
