On Saturday last a match was played between the Runanga and HokiI tika Tennis Clubs resulting, after 1 some very interesting games, in a win for- Hokitika by 16 matches to 8. Following are the results, Hokitika players being mentioned first: — Men’s Singles.—Keller beat Winstanley 9—2, Dougherty beat Griffiths 9—5, Cooke lost to Elinor fi—9, Guthrey beat Pattinson 9—o, Feast lost to Timlin I—9, Williamson beat Gore 9—2. Ladies’ Singles.—Miss L. Knight beat Miss King 6—5, Miss Urquhart beat Miss Richmond 6—l, Miss Urquhart beat Miss Malpass 6—l, Miss Pell beat Mrs Meade 6—3, Airs Guthrey beat Airs O’Neill 6—l, Miss Davidson beat Aliss Ogle 6—l. Men’s Doubles.— Keller and Dougherty beat AVinstanlev and Griffiths 9—7, Cooke and Guthrey lost to Elinor and Pattinson 5—9, Feast and Williamson lost to Timlin and Gore 5—9. Ladies’ Doubles.—Aliss Knight and Mrs Guthrey beat Atisses King and Richmond 9—7, Alisses Urquhart and Bell beat Aliss Malpass and Mrs Meade 9—fi, Mrs Guthrey and Aliss Davidson beat Mrs O’Neill and Aliss Ogle 9—6. Combined Doubles—Keller and Miss Knight lost to Winstanley and Aliss King 4—9, Dougherty and Aliss Urquliart bent Griffiths and Aliss Malpass 9 —7, Cooke and Miss . Urquhart lost to Ennor and Aliss Richmond 29, Guthrey nnd Aliss Bell lost to Pattinson and Mrs Aleade 6—9, Feast and Mrs Guthrey beat Timlin and Mrs O’Neill 9—2, AVilliamson and Miss Davidson lost to Gore and Aliss Ogle 3—9.
