At a sitting of Magistrate’s Court at Reefton, civil cases were dealt with as follows by Mr W. Mcldrum, S.M.: — Golden Coast Co-operative Dairy Coy., Ltd., v. H. A. R. Hannah, judgment by default for £4 7s lid, and costs 10s. Forsyth and Masters Ltd., v. Leslie William Kearns, a judgment .summons: judgment debtor ordered to pay £l7 10s lid forthwith, in default 21 days’ imprisonment in Greymouth Prison. Ada Catherine Hcmpseed charged with
permitting a motor lorry to be on a road without a heavy traffic license having been issued, was fined 10s. and costs £1 11s Walter Egan, for being unlawfully on a racecourse during a race meeting, was fined £l. and costs 12s. David Moore, James Hunter and Julia Osborne, owners of cows found wandering at large, were each fined 5s and costs. The licensee of the Miners’ Hotel, Reefton. as charged with abetting four persons in being unlawfully on the premises after hours. On one case he was fi nod 5s and costs; in two he was ordered to pay costs, and the other case was dismissed.
