FAMILY WIPED OUT

LAUNCESTON, Feb. 26,

A cottage tenanted by a family named Archer, licay Devon port, Tasmania, was burned down. The bodies of seven occupants were afterwards found, charred beyond recognition. They were found in the ruins. The family consisted of Thomas Archer, aged 49 ; his’wife, Olive, aged 35; two daughters, aged *ll and 9; and three sons, aged 0 years, 4 years and 10 months.

The fire occur r d early to-day. Ail of the bodies were ioand in bed except that of the father, which was beside a lied.
