FURTHER FLOODS
QUEENSLAND RIVERS RISING. (Australian Press Association) (Received this day at 10 a.m.) BRISBANE, February 27. Floods have made their reappearance in Queensland. Torrential ‘J'aM fell in Mulgravo River district and the river is eight feet over the raihvay bridge. Herbert River is rising at the rate oif two feet per hour and is now thirty feet above normal, and many feet over the railway bridges. It it rises another few feet the country between Mu I grave and Herbert Rivers will be inundated. Tally river is also eight feet over the railway lines and traffic has been suspended betAveeii lownsA'ille ana Cairns. No Brisbane mail has leached Cairns for a Aveek. One death is reported. An elderly man, attempting to cross a flooded creek near Marceba Avas SAvept aAvay and drowned.
